The Hennepin County Medical Examiner described George Floyd’s death as a homicide, saying he went into cardiopulmonary arrest as a Minneapolis police officer kept his knee on the neck of the prone, handcuffed man.

Floyd protests: Walz extends curfew 2 nights; Guard to start pullback

An extended curfew will take effect in Minneapolis and St. Paul from 10 p.m. Monday to 4 a.m. Tuesday. Officials also said that they believe the tanker truck driver who nearly plowed into protesters Sunday unintentionally ended up on the I-35W bridge and panicked.

A tanker truck drove at high speed onto Interstate 35W near downtown Minneapolis late Sunday afternoon as it was clogged with thousands of people marching to protest the killing of George Floyd. State officials said no protesters were injured and that the driver was in custody.
