Minnesota Public Radio (MPR) today announced the debut of Minnesota Today, a new online service that aims to amplify Minnesota arts, culture and statewide current events. Minnesota Today, which can be found on MPRNewsQ.org, features an arts and cultural events calendar along with news, blogs and photography from across the state. The project is funded in part by the Minnesota Legacy Amendment's Arts and Cultural Heritage fund.

Classical Minnesota Public Radio has named Cantus its Artists-In-Residence for the 2010-2011 concert season. The second-ever Artists-In-Residence for Classical MPR, Cantus will perform in Greater Minnesota concerts and on Performance Today broadcasts. They will also give a series of master classes at high schools around the state and augment the residency online at classicalmpr.org.

Minnesota Public Radio announced today that it has elected Samuel S. M. Wai to its Board of Trustees. Wai is currently the Treasurer for American Crystal Sugar Company in Moorhead, Minnesota.
