Many residents in north Minneapolis were stunned this week when Aldi announced its north side store would close. This comes as Walgreens announced it too would shutter a north side store, making it harder for residents to access affordable fresh food and other vital products.

Rock the Cradle

The Current’s annual free Rock the Cradle event for kids and their grownups to explore music, art and culture returns Sunday, March 12, at the Minneapolis Institute of Art and Children’s Theatre Company.
In addition to annual favorites such as the Kids’ Disco, and YourClassical Storytime, there will be a DJ set from a Current DJ, K-Pop Performances and Choreography Lessons with CypherSide Dance School, pop-up performances from the team at Brains On!, and live music from Koo Koo Kanga Roo, TaikoArts Midwest’s Taiko Group ‘Enso Daiko’, The She’s Burgers, and more. Join us for all of this, and more on March 12!
