The Current’s annual free Rock the Cradle event for kids and their grownups to explore music, art and culture returns Sunday, March 12, at the Minneapolis Institute of Art and Children’s Theatre Company.
In addition to annual favorites such as the Kids’ Disco, and YourClassical Storytime, there will be a DJ set from a Current DJ, K-Pop Performances and Choreography Lessons with Cypher Side Dance School, pop-up performances from the team at Brains On!, and live music from Koo Koo Kanga Roo, TaikoArts Midwest’s Taiko Group ‘Enso Daiko’, The She’s Burgers, and more. The Little Moments Count Radio Podcast was created in partnership with Minnesota Public Radio and community radio stations throughout Minnesota. With community radio partners including KRSM 98.9FM, AM950 Native Roots Radio, KMOJ 89.9FM and WFNU 94.1FM, Little Moment Count is hosting conversations with educators, early childhood experts, pediatricians, community leaders, educators, and others. These rich conversations reflect the unique cultural and geographic perspectives of our community radio partners, and the result is a meaningful sharing of information with listeners, and an increased awareness about how parents, caregivers, and members of the community can have an impact on the young children in their lives.
