The Current and Voodoo Ranger’s Winter Dig Out was a feel-good party spread across the venue’s indoor and outdoor spaces.

Many Minnesotans are among those facing unemployment, as the Trump administration slashes jobs across agencies. The state is home to more than 18,000 federal workers, with nearly 60 percent working for the Department of Veterans Affairs and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Indigenous activist Leonard Peltier welcomed home after release from prison

After nearly 50 years of incarceration, Native American political activist Leonard Peltier has been released from prison. Former President Biden commuted his sentence in January before leaving office. In 1977 Peltier was convicted of two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of two FBI agents. 

Extreme cold prompts school delays, closures across Minnesota for Tuesday

Dangerously cold air that has settled across the Upper Midwest this week has prompted some school districts in Minnesota and neighboring states to cancel classes on Tuesday, Feb. 18. Districts canceling classes Tuesday include Minneapolis, St. Paul and Rochester. Some other districts will be running on a delayed start, or have moved to online learning for Tuesday.
