Warrant says police were trying to catch Idd in illegal gun sale; officers ID'd in the fatal shooting

A search warrant filed Monday says Minneapolis police suspected Dolal Idd had a high-capacity pistol and tried to arrest him before the fatal confrontation last week. Two new on-air hosts joining The Current

The Current announced two new on-air voices joining the station, Maddie Schwappach and Zeke Salo. Schwappach is the former music director at the University of Minnesota's Radio K; she has also been a contributor to The Current and is a former intern at the station. Salo worked at Minneapolis radio stations Go 95.3 and 96.3, both on the air and behind the scenes, interviewing artists, producing content and coordinating promotions.
