Tenor and Louisiana-native Fred C. VanNess Jr., noted for having a “domineering, fine voice,” was recently heard with the Salem Philharmonic in Salem, Massachusetts. Mr. Van Ness has sung with numerous opera companies throughout New England including Don Jose in Carmen with the North End Music Performing Arts Center, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni with Longwood Opera, and Tamino in Die Zauberflöte with Opera del West. His other credits include Rodolfo in La Boheme, Dr. Cajus in Falstaff, and Charlie in Das Kleine Magahonny. Mr. Van Ness also has an active career as a concert soloist.
London-born pianist Roderick Phipps-Kettlewell received his musical training in England, France and at the Juilliard School, where he was the first ever to receive a Master’s Degree in Collaborative Piano. Roderick’s multifaceted musical career includes performing song recitals, chamber music, conducting choirs, orchestras and Gilbert and Sullivan operettas, and collaborating with violinists to saxophonists.
