Mike Reszler

Mike Reszler is Senior Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer. He oversees APMG’s strategy development and planning; growth opportunity portfolio, including M&A, and driving innovation across business units. In addition, he oversees the Glen Nelson Center, APMG’s entrepreneurship center. Having been involved with digital media for over two decades, he has been involved with driving the digital transformation in a wide variety of media companies.

Reszler joined MPR in November 2007 as the Managing Editor for Online News and covered the 2008 election as well as the Republican National Convention. In 2008, he was promoted to Managing Director of Digital Strategy and Content for MPR|APM. In 2011 he was appointed the Vice President of Digital and then in 2013 the Chief Digital Officer and Sr. Vice President of Digital and Strategy. He has overseen the MPR Newsroom, national distribution, APM’s podcast network, the Public Insight Network and community engagement, APMG’s digital products and strategy.

A native of Aberdeen, South Dakota, Reszler earned his B.A. from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD, his M.A. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and is A.B.D. in history from Claremont Graduate School.

He is a two-time recipient of Knight Ridder Digital's "Above and Beyond" award as well as the 2006 recipient of the Knight Ridder Corporate Excellence Award. In addition, he coordinated Knight Ridder's and the Biloxi Sun Herald's online coverage of Hurricane Katrina, which won the Pulitzer Prize for Public Service among other awards.

He currently resides in Minneapolis and enjoys going to movies and live theater, reading, cooking, and participating in church and community activities outside of work.
