The Current Duluth Launch Party Set for April 1

The Current will officially celebrate its new Duluth station on Friday, April 1 at Red Herring Lounge with a launch party featuring several Duluth musicians as well as big-name Minnesota artists: Babes in Toyland, Astronautalis, tiny deaths, and Shaunna Heckman. Duluth-based DJS The Crunchy Bunch will spin tunes in the Red Room.

Current hosts Jill Riley, Brian Oake, Andrea Swensson, Mark Wheat, Sean McPherson and other Current staffers will be on hand to hang out and introduce the new Duluth Local Show host. Bent Paddle Brewing Co. is sponsoring the event and their brews will be featured on tap.

Tune in to The Current at 90.9 FM and 100.5 WSCN HD-2. The Duluth Launch Party is supported in part by the Minnesota Legacy Amendment's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
