 About Sima Shumilovsky and Mark Stillman

Mark Stillman
Talking Volumes is pleased to welcome Russian singer Sima Shumilovsky and accordianist Mark Stillman to the Fitzgerald stage to accompany Robert Alexander in his discussion about The Kitchen Boy.

Sima Shumilovsky was born in Ukraine, in a city on the Black Sea called Odessa. She moved to Minnesota in 1978 and makes her home in St. Paul now, where she sings solo, and with other performers, in the Russian-American community, such as Mark Stillman. She has performed for audiences on A Prairie Home Companion and has entertained countless patrons at the Loring Café for the past six years.

Mark Stillman lives in Minneapolis and has performed on A Prairie Home Companion and has played for dignitaries such as President George W. Bush and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He performs every other week at Hotel Sophitel in Bloomington.
