Huyen Chau backed Nguyen on the dan tranh.
Monique Nguyen is an internationally acclaimed performer who has sung traditional Vietnamese poetry and songs in France, Germany, and Australia. She grew up near the Perfume River in the Hoá region of Vietnam and has been singing since the age of six.

Accompanying her is Huyen Chau, who plays the dan tranh, a 16-stringed instrument with roots in ancient Vietnamese musical tradition.
