Soprano Elisabeth Comeaux has received great acclaim for her performances with leading opera companies throughout North America. In several seasons with The Minnesota Opera she has appeared is such roles as Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Gilda in Rigoletto, and Naiad in Ariadne auf Naxos. Ms. Comeaux also appeared in two Minnesota Opera premieres—she created the role of the Girl in Robert Moran's From the Towers of the Moon and the role of Billy Jo Casta in Peter Schickele's Oedipus Tex.

Ms. Comeaux made a highly successful debut at the New York City Opera as Pamina in The Magic Flute and was the soprano soloist in the U.S. premiere of Berlioz' Solemn Messe with the Minnesota Orchestra and Adina in L'elisir d'amore with Skylight Opera Theatre. She returned to Washington Opera as Baby Doe and reprised her portrayal of Baby Doe in her Boston Lyric Opera debut. She sang her first performances of Bastienne in Mozart's Bastien und Bastienne with Berkshire Opera in Tanglewood's Ozawa Hall and with the National Symphony at Washington's Kennedy Center and for The Minnesota Opera, Clorinda in La Cenerentola. She created the role of Tiny in the New York City Opera's new production of Britten's Paul Bunyan, which was telecast, nationwide on the PBS "Live from Lincoln Center" Series.

Ms. Comeaux has also appeared with prominent orchestras such as the Bournemouth Symphony, London Sinfonia, Pacific Symphony, Newark Cathedral Symphony, Omaha Symphony, Richmond Symphony, and Huntsville Symphony. She has also been an invited soloist for pops concerts with the Weapons Pops Orchestra and the Rochester Symphony.

Most recently, Ms. Comeaux created the roles of Murasaki and Fijitsubo in the world premiere of Minori Miki's The Tale of Genji with Opera Theatre of St. Louis and reprised the role on a tour of Japan. She returned to The Minnesota Opera for Rose Maurrant in Street Scene and added a new role to her repertoire: Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier, also with The Minnesota Opera. She portrayed Anne in A Little Night Music with Utah Opera, Yum Yum in The Mikado for Lyric Opera of Kansas City and Gilda in Rigoletto for Sacramento Opera.
